My son says the funniest things so this blog is dedicated to his silly sayings. He just turned 3 and while most 3 year olds can speak pretty well, anyone who knows my son knows that he's been speaking well for a long time but it still just cracks me up the things that come out of his mouth.
My mom and I talk a lot about how my husband just does what he wants to do and doesn't really care about having a family. We have these conversations in front of my son which I think sparked this to come out of his mouth when I told him to stop jumping on his bed: "I just wanna do what I wanna do." And he said it very seriously. I looked at him sternly for a couple of seconds but I just couldn't hold the laughter in and I lost it right there in front of him. Darn kid.
We've been working on potty training but he hasn't had much of an interest. It's driving me nuts having to change poopy pull-ups and I'm tired of it. He gets in trouble for pooping in his pants because he knows when he has to do it - he hides in the corner so he knows he's doing something wrong. A couple of weeks ago I was changing his pull-up and told him not to poop in his pants any more. He said, "Well, I just poop in my pants all the time...and I'm gonna poop in these too." The little snot! I told him he better not! Of course telling a child not to poop in their pants and actually getting them to not poop in their pants are 2 completely different things. Luckily the potty training seems to be going much better now. We're actually on an uphill climb which is always good. I'm so ready for him to be able to do it on his own. I sure hope our daughter is easier to potty train.
